- Make the roof safe: secure loose tiles and ridges, cover an open area
- Stop active leaks so ceilings and electrics are not sitting in water
- Replace slipped or missing tiles and slates once it is safe to work
- Refix ridges and verges the wind has lifted
- Repair lead that the storm has pulled out of the chase
Before we arrive
What you can do before we arrive
Keep people and pets away from the side of the house. Tiles that have fallen mean more may follow. Catch water inside with a bucket. Do not go on the roof. If water is near a light or socket, leave that fitting alone. Photos from the ground help us see the damage before we arrive.
If you are claiming on insurance, photograph the damage before it is covered. We can note what we found. We do not handle the claim for you.

The first visit stops the leak and makes it safe. The proper repair, matching tiles and any lead or ridge work, is priced once we can see the roof. We will say if a patch is enough or if the slope needs more.
